DNF Controls' GTP-32, GPI Tally Processors Deliver Winning Performance for NBC Olympics
March 1, 2006

NBC Olympics utilized multiple GTP-32, GPI Tally Processors from DNF Controls to support its broadcast of the Men's Downhill and Figure Skating competitions, and the medal plaza presentation during the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. The GTP-32, GPI Tally Processors were used to transport camera tallies via fiber, Ethernet, and microwave radio links from remote locations where the winter events took place to control rooms at the International Broadcast Center.

"The DNF GTP-32, Tally Processor box was so versatile, easy to use, and configure that we were able to use and configure it through any kind of link," said Tom Saylor, project manager in venue engineering at NBC. "DNF's GTP-32, GPI Tally Processor was our choice for transporting the remote camera tallies because of its tremendous versatility, easy configurability, and reliability, even in difficult environments. The DNF devices performed without fail."

The GTP-32, GPI Tally Processor is DNF Controls' powerful, compact, and multitasking GPI tally processor, router, distributor, and combiner. The GTP-32 provides an interface between dissimilar equipment, offers long- or short-distance GPI/GPO transport, acts as an alternative to running multiconductor cables, provides complex signal processing/conditioning, and provides GPI and tally routing. Simple to set up and use, it can be configured from any PC using a Web browser-friendly configuration tool.
